Grow with your customers

My wife has been reading Harry Potter books, which makes me one of the last 4 people in the world who haven't read these! Nevertheless, one thing she mentioned as she was ready book 6 was that it has become much more serious, it is no more a children's book...

One could look at it in many ways, one way I look at it is that it is growing with the customer.. so the kid who started reading when she was 8 years old will keep reading every book of Harry Potter as she grows.

Then I was thinking about Basecamp, that's a great product.. but there was a recent post by Rashmi where their company is moving away from Basecamp. In my company too, we had been using Basecamp a lot, but now find it very limiting and have moved to Media Wiki. Might be it's just that we are not the target customers for Basecamp ...

I also still have not read the Harry Potter books.

But I'm using Basecamp, and loving it, but only recently. I think a lot of it also has to do with who's on your team and how they work.

After your excellent use of mediawiki. I was thinking on same path. Instead recent revamp of backpack makes more sense as collaboration platform.

Basecamp is seriously lacking in decent search, organizing things (you need to make good efforts).
